Glad you asked...
If you need a new headboard, try making one yourself. You can easily build a king size headboard at little cost compared to buying one. To build one you will need a measuring tape, plywood, a black marker, goggles, a jigsaw, foam, glue, fabric, scissors, a staple gun, staples, a stud finder, a pencil, flush mounts, a ruler, a level, a power drill and a screwdriver. See this site for complete directions for building a king size headboard. http://www.ehow.com/how_4760693_build-ki...
Then again, this answer might help you...
Measure a piece of plywood, the width of your bed. Cover it with foam, then staple on batting, lapping it over the back. Place a piece of heavy material over the batting, and staple on the back. Can add nail head trim around the edges. Attach to the wall.
