First add up how many nurses are working each day and how many hours total they worked. Divide that number by the number of patients, and you get the hours of nursing hours that were spent per patient that day.
Then again, this answer might help you...
To calculate hours per patient per day add the total nursing hours for all nurses on that day. Divide total nursing hours by patients on the same day. This total is the amount of patients per nurse in hours daily.
