Math is all about reducing expressions into a simple form. Radicals consists of square roots, cube rooats, and 4th roots. Radicals are not like fractions where things can be cancelled down to one number. Simplifying radicals consists of reducing cubes or square roots. To express in simplest radical form means that there will be no more nth roots to find when we evaluate a radical expression. For example, the simplest radical form for sqrt(8) can be given by sqrt(4x2) which is equal to 2sqrt(2). However, there are some rules you may need to know to express radicals in simplest form.
