Immediately gut and skin the creature. Hang to make sure all the blood drips out of the hog. Then you are free to butcher it and prepare the butchered parts.

One thing to know when you field dress a feral hog is where your gloves. Feral hogs could contain swine brucellosis. You will need a good knife when you do this. You field dress you hog like you do a deer.
