The-start of a meeting helps to set the tone, and will vary depending on the type of meeting. If it is a formal business meeting, the first couple of minutes are important and should include a prompt start, outlining the goals of the meeting and going through the agenda. For say a seminar meeting, especially if persons who do not know each other, you could start with ice breakers to get group interaction.
