There are bug killer sprays that you can purchase at your local store and or home improvement store that can kill red bugs. There are also sprays that can kill the bug but not harm the tree and or shrubs that the bug is on.

There are many red bugs. The red bugs or chiggers that are in Spanish moss, have nasty bites and should be avoided. You can microwave it for less than 30 seconds or boil it to kill the bugs.
