How To Teach Sequencing

Teaching a lesson on how to teach sequencing? Be sure to start off simple. You may want to have approximately five or six pictures describing a particular task. For example, baking a cake; you could have one picture with the ingredients, another picture with mixing, another with pouring mixture into a cake pan, and yet another with placing the cake into an oven. You could tell your students to put the pictures in sequential order to tell a story of a person baking a cake. After a successful attempt, you can gradually introduce more complex pictures and stories. Eventually, you can eliminate the pictures and add grade appropriate complexity.
