When writing a power of attorney letter, the letter should be written as if it were from the person who is being covered by the power of attorney. the only difference is the signature. The letter will be signed by the power of attorney in the following manner. The POA will sign the person's name and then after it they will write, "by, their name, his attorney in fact." This means the Power of Attorney has written the letter and signed for the person as their attorney.
